THE NEOLITHIC FARM
The Neolithic farm reconstructed at the Archeopark reproduces the houses and the human life of more than 5.000 years ago. Around the farm sheep, goats and poultry are bred and cereals and flax are grown how the first farmers did.
In the Neolithic period the discovery of agriculture led human groups to become sedentary and to build huts like this farmhouse created using wood, clay and reeds, where the tools used in the fields were stored. In the Neolithic farm you can hold the tools of the ancient farmer as the hoe, the plough or the sickle, and try the four wheeled cart.
The reconstructions of the huts and of the furniture were made taking into account the data of archaeological excavations conducted in different sites in northern Italy.
